Tish Wins the Audrey Geisel Friend of Military Children Award
Tish was honored to be the recipient of the Audrey Geisel (Mrs. Dr. Seuss!) Friend of Military Children Award for her book for military children Sometimes Apart Always in My Heart- helping military families send love from far away she wrote in honor of her father, a World War II hero, from United Through Reading, a nonprofit that, for over 30 years has helped deployed service members record themselves reading to their children and then sent each child a copy of the book, so no one ever misses storytime.
